Is it possible to donate a property for the benefit of disadvantaged children and thus transfer it to the foundation's capital? We at the SOS Children's Villages SV Foundation also regard real estate in the foundation capital as a stable investment. We are therefore happy to include properties and land in our portfolio by way of donation. We take care of letting and maintaining the property in order to preserve its value.
Here is a wonderful story that happened: Dr. Dietmar Fussenegger, born in Weiler in Vorarlberg and now a practising doctor in Linz, donated his house to SOS Children's Villages.
"I always had more than I could use."Even as a child, Mr. Fussenegger and his siblings - encouraged by their parents - gave some of their Christmas presents to the SOS Children's Villages children in Dornbirn. "It was fun and we had lots of contacts." Dr. Dietmar Fussenegger continued to support the SOS Children's Village later on. And some time ago, Dietmar Fussenegger donated his house and valuable property in Klaus (Vorarlberg) to SOS Children's Villages.
The house is being sold - for the future of the childrenSuch experiences gave Fussenegger the feeling that his childhood home was a good fit for SOS Children's Villages. The house will be sold and the proceeds will benefit children in need. He is satisfied with the use planned by SOS Children's Villages. With his donation, he is supporting the idea of giving children who have lost the support of their families a loving home. An idea that Dietmar Fussenegger and his parents were convinced of.
